Some impacts are more beneficial for certain demographics than others, and those benefits are justified by using census data, or a lack thereof. Let’s discuss what the census is, why it is so important for us to participate, and how it influences politics, jobs, infrastructure, health care and education.

Meet the instructor

Dr. Trina L. Coleman

Dr. Trina L. Coleman is a Ph.D. physicist and Board Certified Patient Advocate (BCPA) whose career bridges the gap between scientific rigor and human-centered care. As the founder of Coleman Comprehensive Solutions and the STEM Skills platform, she built The Care Academy to bring evidence-based JEDI continuing education to the patient advocacy profession. Her research-backed approach draws on AARP, CDC, and National Alliance for Caregiving data to equip advocates with the tools to recognize caregiver disparities and act on them. She is also the creator of the A Care Journey app and the author of Journal of Your Journey: A Caregiver's Guide to Giving Care.
